The Art of Comics: Johannesburg Art Gallery

Recently I participated in the Art of Comics exhibition at the Johannesburg Art Gallery (JAG). Running until the 17th November 2019, the exhibition is a joint showcase of South African comics and French bande-dessinee. It is a fascinating tour through a huge spectrum of styles and story, proving in a gallery space that the medium of comics is a potent communicator, educator and entertainer.

On display, I had panels from the King Shaka comic books, the most recent of which was released in September.
